God is Doing a New Thing – Are You Ready?

Dear Sisterfriend,

Can you believe that we're halfway through February? Even though we are well into the new year, I’d like to hit the “pause” button and speak life into your heart for the remainder of this year. I’m not sure what 2024 was like for you. It may have been filled with both joys and challenges, victories and trials. Perhaps there were moments of disappointment, weariness, or even deep heartache. But today, I want to remind you—God is not finished with you yet, and He is doing a NEW THING in 2025.

Isaiah 43:18-19 reminds us:

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Sister, God is making a way for you. Even in the dry places. Even in the uncertainty. Even when last year’s disappointments try to whisper that nothing will change. He is working, and He is faithful!

This year, I want to encourage you to:

Release What is Behind – Let go of last year’s disappointments and setbacks. Release the failures, the hurts, the “should haves” and “what ifs.” Surrender them to God and allow Him to heal your heart.  God’s mercy is new every morning, and you don’t have to carry what He’s already covered.

Renew your focus – Ask the Lord what His vision is for you this year.  What is His vision for your personal life, your ministry, and your family.  When we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus everything becomes clearer in our lives. Our focus is made perfect.  

Open Your Heart to God’s New Thing – Don’t let fear of the unknown keep you from embracing the fresh work God wants to do in your life, your ministry, and your family. He is making a way—even when you don’t see it yet.  Our Christian walk truly is a faith journey, and we must constantly renew our trust in Him.

Press Forward With Bold Faith – Even if you don’t see the whole picture yet, take the next step in obedience. God's purposes for you are good! And remember…your calling still matters. Your presence still makes a difference. Your prayers are still powerful. Keep pressing on!

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. You are seen. You are valued. And you are deeply loved by God. During this new year, it is my prayer that you will walk in the fullness of His plans—free from the weight of the past and filled with great expectation for the future.
