Don’t Miss Easter – It’s For You Too!

Dear Sisterfriend,

As we arrive at this sacred weekend, I want to pause and say something you might not hear enough:  YOU MATTER. ❣️

Not just the work you do or the support you offer behind the scenes—but you. Your heart, your presence, your faith, your quiet strength. In the whirlwind of Holy Week—extra services, church decorating, last-minute details, preparing your family, and pouring into others—it’s easy to let this weekend happen to you instead of for you.

But friend, Easter is for you, too. 🌟

This is the season that shouts the hope we live by—Jesus is alive! And because He lives, we get to live fully, even during a busy ministry life.

So today, on this Good Friday, I want to gently remind you to make room for your own soul this weekend. Yes, you have much to do, but you also have permission to enjoy Easter. Not just as a leader or pastor’s wife, but as a daughter of the Risen King.

Here are a few simple, grace-filled ways to do that:

1. Pause for your own reflection. 💭

Before Sunday comes, give yourself a few quiet moments to sit with Jesus. Maybe early Saturday morning with your coffee. Read the resurrection story in a fresh translation. Listen to a worship song that stirs your heart. Let yourself feel the wonder again.

2. Plan one thing just for you. 🙏

In the middle of your ministry responsibilities, choose one life-giving thing this weekend—a short walk in the sunshine, a piece of chocolate you love, or even a 20-minute nap. You deserve a moment to exhale.

3. Say “no” to perfection. ❣️

Easter doesn't have to be picture-perfect to be powerful. Give yourself grace. If dinner is simple or your outfit isn’t planned, it’s okay. What matters most is the message we carry—He is risen! Don’t let pressure steal your peace.

4. Celebrate with joy. 🤗

Even if you’re exhausted by Sunday afternoon, find a way to celebrate. Laugh with your kids. Take a few photos. Soak in the beauty of the moment. This is our victory day!

Dear sister, the tomb is empty. And that means you don’t have to live on empty either. Jesus is still in the business of resurrection—of filling dry places, restoring strength, and breathing life into weary hearts.

As you lead, love, and serve this weekend, I’m praying for you. That you would experience the joy of Easter in a deeply personal way.

He sees you. He’s with you. And He’s risen—for you.

With resurrection hope,

susan
